Historic Beetle Display for 2024

From small beginnings way back in 1976, the Historic Beetle Display has always been at the heart of the Stanford Hall event. It is open exclusively to Type 1s built before August 1960.

Entry is free but you MUST pre-book using the form below. Read the entry notes below for more information noting the requirements for photographs of your car to be sent to us.

Please EMAIL the TWO PHOTOGRAPHS (in JPG format and no bigger than 1MB each) of the vehicle which are representative of its current condition one of which must include the registration mark to displaymanager@historicvws.co.uk, this is necessary for your entry to be accepted. Also please ensure that your vehicle registration mark and the words "Stanford Hall" are included in the subject line of the email.

If you are having difficulty completing this application please contact the Display Manager via displaymanager@historicvws.co.uk. However please note that general show, trade or concours information is NOT available from this address.

Entry to the Historic Beetle Display is Free once your application has been accepted. Passes will be dispatched by Royal Mail to your address in good time for the event.

Entry Notes

This display is open exclusively to Type 1s built before August 1960.

We regret that those who do not pre-book will have to pay the normal entry fee and will not be able to park with the display.

Don’t worry if your car is not pristine – we are happy to see daily drivers or restoration projects as long as they are not overtly modified or lowered.

All details on the booking form must be completed in full or application will be refused.

Those who would like to enter the concours can still join the display as Class 1 vehicles in the concours are contained within the display area. As in previous years, you should additionally pre-book your concours place. See Concours d’Elegance booking details.

Your vehicle must display a pre-booked pass on its internal rear view mirror and be parked with the rest of the cars in the display, allowing the marshals to identify you clearly and avoid stopping you unnecessarily and causing delays.

You must arrive between 8 am and 11 am and be prepared to leave your vehicle on stand until 4 pm. The site must be vacated by 7.30 pm on the day of the show.

All display vehicles are admitted at the discretion of the display manager, whose decision is final.

All participants in the displays should note that vehicles are displayed entirely at the owners’ risk and neither the Leicestershire and Warwickshire VW Owners’ Club nor Stanford Hall accept any liability for actions beyond their control.
